YWCA MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL
In 1967 the land at 20, Vallabai Road, Madurai was endowed to YWCA to start a school and a hostel. It was a modest inception with the Primary section in a thatched shed with a faculty strength of 10 members. Mrs. H. Daniel was the first Headmistress from 1972 to 1996. The School after performing for two decades got affiliated with CBSE. Thereafter it switched over to the Matriculation stream. Gradually the school was elevated to a Primary school and secondary school, and then finally upgraded into a higher secondary school in 1989.
The School at present has 637 students with 40 teaching and 11 non-teaching faculty. It offers 3 streams in Higher Secondary
